Introduction

This soundtrack was written alongside the production of Leighton Park School’s production of the play, to ensure that each scene that needed incidental music was covered. this music is for anyone running a production of this play, from amateur drama groups to schools and colleges.

Why choose this soundtrack?

This music was written specifically for the production of the Curious Incident, so each piece of music perfectly matches the scenes, making it more suitable than using generic royalty-free music. Whilst the original score for the play is available online, it is unlawful to use it in productions as it’s license is unavailable. Also, I will be available to work with you to make sure that the music fits with your production, editing the tracks according to your rehearsal timings, making sure that the tracks are the right length. I can also work with you to add your voice recordings to scenes such as the train station sequence.

Licensing / copyright

All of the music is registered and copyrighted by Oscar Scannell. a license will allow you to use this music for your production of the play (or another play, you can discuss this with me). you may not share these audio files outside of your school / association. if your production is being broadcast / uploaded to a video sharing website (eg. Youtube), you must inform me so that I can make sure you don’t get any copyright takedowns. it is illegal to use this music for a production of the play (or any play for that matter) without a license from Oscar Scannell - this is a crime and will be dealt as such, which may include a lawsuit.

I am a music and media student from Reading, England. i write music mostly for my own solo projects, and perform my music and audiovisual art across the country.

I am also available to help by adding your voice recordings into tracks, for example the train station sequence. I can also edit the tracks if your rehearsal timings require the tracks to be shortened. There are also additional sound files for more scenes such as multiple tracks for the letter scenes and sound effects.
